Making Waves, Saving Lives is a grassroots documentary about Dolphin Anti-Rape, an organization in Kenya that works to deliver vital rape and AIDS awareness and education to girls and women.
Dolphin Anti-Rape teaches girls, beginning as early as elementary school, a self defense technique called ‘rapid response,’ which empowers them to escape potential attackers. The dedication, efficiency, and passion with which Dolphin administers its program inspired the making of this film and subsequent fundraising events. The film makers, following the lead of the organization, kept all aspects of the film and event completely volunteer and grassroots, thus maximizing the funds that can be sent to ensure Dolphin Anti-Rape can continue their great work.
